About Me
My training is integrative which means I use several different theories to inform my practice. My core training was based on psychodynamic, CBT and person centred approaches to counselling.
I am self-employed as a private practitioner in West Beach where I undertake one to one counselling.
I am a BACP (UK) and PACFA accredited counsellor.
My qualifications are as follows:
- Certificate in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy
- Diploma in Supervision (Group and Individuals)
- Post Graduate Certificate in Counselling Skills.
- Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling.
- MSc Therapeutic Counselling.
- Diploma in Counselling in Primary Care Settings
I have also undertaken additional trainings to work with survivors of sexual abuse and people affected by bereavement and loss.
In keeping with the PACFA Code of Ethics all my work is supervised. I am committed to continuing professional development.
I am able to offer brief time-limited work, longer term work and open-ended therapy where this is thought to be beneficial. In certain circumstances I offer telephone counselling and for people with mobility problems home visits can be arranged.
